Speaking of platforms.........
You heard Ronald Reagan tell the story of a republican making a speech in a highly democratic farming area in America's heartland. He was about to speak, but had nothing on which to stand in which to use as a platform. One of the farmers found a dried out cow-patty, & suggested it for a platform. The speaker used it & made his speech. Afterward, one of the democrats there said that it was the 1st republican speech he'd ever heard. To which the republican said, And that's the 1st republican speech I've ever made from a Democratic platform!
I mean no disrespect to Dems, just thought it was funny!
