OK...I'M ANGRY NOW!

I am angry at Republicans!

I am so angry that they have not done what I want them to, when I want them to, how I want them to, and where I want them to on at least two or three issues, that I am seeing red.

Republicans have not yet closed the borders.

Republicans have not yet become perfect.

Republicans have not yet...well, I can't think of what else they haven't done, but I know they haven't done it, because TV newscasters on NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC and even some on FOX have told me so.

Because Rebuplicans have not done all the things I have wanted them to do, I am not going to vote at all!

Now I know what you are thinking:

Joe, you must not realize that by not voting, Democrats will win and you are hurting yourself.

Joe, you must not realize that by not voting, Democrats will win and you are hurting ME.

Joe, you must not realize that by not voting, Democrats will win and you are hurting Republicans.

Joe, you must not realize that by not voting, Democrats will win and you are hurting your country.

You must think I am dumber than dumb.

OF COURSE I KNOW ALL OF THAT.

BUT I DON'T CARE!!

I am mad, and that's all that counts.

See? It's all about ME.

It's not about America. It's not about unity. It's not about doing what's right. It's not about being a good citizen.

IT'S ALL ABOUT ME!!

(Editor's note: If you are a Republican or a staunch conservative, and you do not plan to vote, and/or vote for what's right as opposed to what makes you mad, you are lower than the lowest liberal. You are a fobbing , elf-skinned, flap-dragon. You are a gorbellied, folly-fallen, giglet.*

SOOO......

GET OVER IT!

GET READY!

GET OUT THERE AND VOTE! [When the time comes]

End of Editor's note)

*Don't get excited...these are all perfectly good Shakespearian terms. Read him...you might like him.

Yes, because as we all know, God is unmistakably Republican. And with unilateral consistency He supports all that republicanism stands for.

Especially the piece-by-piece dismantling of Habeas Corpus, due process, and the right to a fair and speedy public trial before a jury of one's peers. Surely God supports these breaches of human rights. Surely He nods His approval of the Military Commissions Act of 2006? Perhaps God's in favor of cruel and unusual punishment (which thankfully was just made legal in violation of the eighth amendment)? Surely He's proud of our noble president.

Just stirring the pot, Joe. I don't think God is a Democrat either. But is my refusal to fly the pachydermal red flag a sign that I'm too emotional? Hardly. I value my rights and on Tuesday a large portion of them were wiped away by... republicans. I'm sorry, but if my future lies in the hands of either Democrats or Republicans, my country has turned into one large toilet.

parker: Maybe a trip to Flushing, NY will help.

The pot needs stirring.

Trouble is, those are the only two choices we have.

I know, vote independent.

Sadly, that is an option, but not a viable one.

We don't have enough "independents" running who have a chance in a shell game of getting elected.

But, the day after the election, I will get up, go to work and come home...just like I have always done.

I just wish I had the confidence that my grandchildren would be able to do so.

Fear not! The Lord's return is near (Tuesday at 7:30 PM?)

Joe, I think it is time that the conservative christian movement think farther ahead than simply supporting the republicans.

It is fairly obvious by now that they do not en masse support the moral agenda christians are crying for.

Instead, we need to begin to cultivate men who will stand for righteousness and integrity at any cost. Only then can we hope to turn the ship from the abyss of immorality.

Forget about the economy, Iraq, immigration, etc. If we, God's people, don't put the Lord Jesus first in our lives and consider the legalization of sinfulness the greatest threat to our nations, we will be opposing the very hand of God.

Flushing, NY...hey! I resemble that remark!

jim: "Joe, I think it is time that the conservative christian movement think farther ahead than simply supporting the republicans."

So, who do we vote for? Who is running who fills that bill? Do we, because we cannot find a righteous man, simply not vote? Is that the best course for our country?

I wholeheartedly agree that Christ must come first. Anyone who reads my blog knows that.

But we are wayfarers in this land, and while we are here, we are given one way to put people in leadership...the vote.

I trust we will select the best man for the job: one who takes a stand for life; one who takes a stand for the benefits of hard work; one who understands the principles of citizens' freedoms; etc.

Parker: God is not a Republican--but the vast majority of people who believe in Him--in any meaningful sense--are.

Joe: Nothing short of death or dismemberment could stop me from voting this election. And I might just have to drop my typical "vote for each candidate individually" for the surer "vote straight ticket Republican" this time. Not that I've voted for many Dems in the past (and never on a national level), but I don't want to take the chance that I might inadvertently help the Dem cause through a slip of the pencil.

I'm gonna vote!

I'm gonna vote!

I have a little baby in the house--and the Republicans remind me of parenthood--that sneaking susupicion that "Something around here stinks!"

The Republicans have let us down tremendously--especially with the rise of Big Surveillance Government (i.e. REAL ID Act which appears to "book" innocent Americans and tracks them with biometrics or RFID)

What is American about that? (And several other issues...)

Yes, the Republicans stink.

It's just that the Democrats stink worse--like out-in-the open-style-stinking...

Interesting comments! I think John Rush pretty much summed it up for me...

The Republicans stink. The Democrats stink.

What scares me is that there is no practical alternative. How long will we be content to vote for the candidate that stinks less? That's pathetic. But what else can we do?

As I try to look forward to the future, in either the hands of the red team or the blue team, it stinks. I think America deserves better than a stinky future. In Flushing, NY. :-)

That sounds so left wing.
