From the Drive-by Christmas Pageant

Three years ago I introduced the idea of a drive-by Christmas diurama to our church.

They accepted the challenge and this year put on their third annual Drive-By Christmas Pageant.

There is a road that passes right by our church grounds. We set up seven scenes on the property so that people could drive by and view the scenes of Christmas.

Here are the results (click on each picture to see it enlarged):

Isaiah's prophecy of the coming Messiah.

Mary and Joseph travel to Bethlehem.

To be taxed because they were of the house and lineage of David.

There was no room for them in the inn.

Jesus was born in a manger.

He was born to die for our sins.

He rose triumphantly over the tomb.

His salvation is available to anyone.

Looks great Joe! Can't do anything like that up here in the winter...though inside it could be done...

LOL, I was gonna ask if that was Bonnie the Tax Collector...she beat me to the punch though and admitted to it!

Nice. how do folks respond?

Danny: Sunday night we had over 100 carloads view the display. Two people accepted Christ during the week and two decided to make ours their church home.

Most of all, Christ was glorified.

I love that Joe. Tis the reason for the season my friend.

I wish you such amazing blessings this Christmas Joe. I hope the Lord blesses you more than He already has!

I remember doing this. It was cold but there were real sheep!

That is awesome Joe. I too, was going to ask if that was sweet Bonnie being a mean tax collector.

Tell her not to take any wooden nickels :-)

It's only 12 degrees here in New York. Way to cold for man or beast to be outside!

Joe,
Once again, you bless me with the Spirit of the Incarnate, Crucified, Risen Savior who is so evident in your consistent Christ-like persona.

Cheerfully in Christ,
brother John

my first thought - I admit it (blush) - was "only in America"

but this is wonderful

I will preach on the resurrection on Christmas morning, without it the incarnation makes no sense.
