For some time, Blogger has had an encouragement to me in my "dashboard" to switch to the new format.
Today I finally gave in.
Guess what! It would not let me change!
Furthermore, I could not comment on many of your blogs which had been changed over because they would not recognize my username and password!
This was not universally true, but seemed random.
There was a link to a lame explanation...something to the effect that they were changing a few at a time.
Then, pray tell, why did they seem so insistant that I change?
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Do not...I repeat...Do not switch to Beta...You won't be able to comment on any site that isn't Beta....and there's a whole lot of people, like me, who aren't Beta.
I used to be able to comment on Beta sites, but now I'm having trouble loggin into some of them.
there's a whole lot of other porblems with Beta. I'm not switching until they drag me kicking and screaming!
Same thing happened to me Joe. They begged me to change and then said I couldn't. Blogger in Beta is such a tease.
i have the beta blog and i can comment to non beta.
I had problems commenting on other blogs too at first, but I discovered that I have to log in to blogger in beta every time I turn my computer on. You can check a box that says remember me on this computer, but it doesn't do any good. I still have to log in anew each time. It's a little irritating, but if you log in, you'll probably be able to comment.
Joe, don't fix what is not broken. Keep doing what you have been doing on your blog, no need to update or change anything, its less hassle.
